Automatic fee reminders, payment links and confirmations, message credits, the staff assistant, and what parents can do by messaging the Feezy number.

For most Indian institutes, fee follow-up already happens on WhatsApp. Feezy makes it automatic: reminders, payment links, and payment confirmations reach parents and students where they already are (members for a gym, tenants paying rent at a PG). Staff and parents can also message the Feezy number directly, as explained below.

Automatic fee reminders

Once a fee is billed, Feezy follows up on WhatsApp by itself, using reminder rules you control:

  • You set the schedule and the words. Every institute starts with three ready-made reminder messages, a friendly nudge, a firm reminder, and a final notice. Edit the wording, adjust when each one fires relative to the due date, set the time of day, or pause any rule from Settings.
  • Stops the moment payment arrives. A paid fee never gets another reminder.
  • One message, not many. A family with several unpaid fees, even across siblings, receives one combined message per billing cycle with a single payment link covering everything.
  • Respects the do-not-contact list. Anyone on it is never messaged. Reminders can also go by email; email reminders use no message credits.
  • Every fee gets one permanent payment link and QR code the moment it is created, branded with your institute's name and logo. The link never expires and always shows the current amount due, automatically reflecting a late fine or a partial payment.
  • Reminder messages carry a Pay Now link. A parent with several unpaid fees sees one combined payment page that clearly breaks down every fee included.
  • If a fee is already fully paid, the link simply says so and invites the parent to log in for details, so a forwarded message reveals nothing private.
  • The moment a payment goes through, online or recorded as cash by staff, the parent receives a WhatsApp payment confirmation. Receipts, including a proper tax invoice format where GST applies, can be downloaded from the payment page or the parent login at app.feezy.one.
  • Institute owners also receive a WhatsApp message whenever Feezy pays out collected money to the institute.

Message credits

WhatsApp messages use message credits. Every plan includes credits that scale with your size, five credits per student, topped up automatically each billing month, and annual plans receive the whole year's credits upfront. A credit is spent only when a message is actually delivered, and the reminder settings warn you if credits run out, so reminders never fail silently.

The staff assistant on WhatsApp

Feezy's assistant, the same one available inside the web app, also works over WhatsApp. Staff link their number once from Settings using a code texted to their phone. After that, they simply message the Feezy number in plain language:

  • Ask questions and get instant answers: this month's collections, outstanding dues, or finding a particular student or batch.
  • Send a fee reminder to a student, or get a shareable payment link for their unpaid dues.
  • It always confirms before acting. Anything that sends a message shows a clear preview and waits for your confirmation; nothing goes out until you approve it.
  • It respects each staff member's own permissions, and every action it takes is recorded.
  • It is deliberately limited on WhatsApp: it cannot collect money, upload spreadsheets, or create new records. Those tasks stay inside the app at app.feezy.one.

A message from a number that is not linked to a staff account receives a polite explanation and nothing more.

What parents can do by messaging the Feezy number

Parents and students do not need any setup at all:

  • Message the Feezy WhatsApp number to instantly see fee details, grouped by institute if the family pays at more than one.
  • If fees are due, the reply includes a Pay Now link for exactly that student at that institute. If nothing is due, the reply says so clearly.
  • If the number is not recognised, the sender gets a polite explanation instead of any fee information, keeping every family's details private.
  • Parents can turn WhatsApp reminders on or off and set quiet hours from their profile.
